bioclimatic greenhouses … an opportunity not to be missed

The solar greenhouse, or veranda, evokes the image of the elegant winter gardens of the English residences or of the ancient lemon houses of the noble residences … in fact it is a special border space, intermediate between inside and outside, where to enjoy the warmth of the sun when it’s still too cold outside, where to grow plants or devote yourself to your hobbies, where to stay contemplating the outdoor space in the comfort of an interior.

Today the solar greenhouse, if made with certain characteristics, is an intervention of BIOCLIMATIC ARCHITECTURE which allows to create a space dedicated to the collection of solar energy.
If well designed and built, it can be a valid tool for building energy improvement , both in the ponds cold oni than in the warmer ones. In this sense, in addition to the attention to be paid to the adequate insulation of the structure and the thermal performance of the glass parts, in order to guarantee the right insulation, overheating in the summer season must also be kept under control, by means of adequate shading and ventilation tools. It can be created for residential buildings or be an added space in accommodation facilities, or for restaurants, with a particular, luminous character and connected with the outside.
 TECHNICAL REGULATION
The national legislation defines the solar greenhouse as an intervention aimed at improving the building’s energy , classifying it as a technical volume, therefore an expansion that does not result in increases in cubature and does not imply the payment of charges for its construction, therefore it is also an opportunity for expansion from 15% to 30% of the surface or volume of the property (relative to the various regional regulations in force).
IN UMBRIA

In Umbria in particular it is 20% of the SUC (Surfaces-Profit-Covered) or 20% of the volume of the reference property, calculated s according to the parameters of the TU for Building – L.R. 1/2015. The technical characteristics of the bioclimatic greenhouse in the Umbria region are clarified in this legislation and in its Implementing Regulation (LRn.2015, art. No. 17; 3; b; 1: so that its volume is not counted in the calculation of the SUC , therefore it is not an increase in the cubic volume of the building, the greenhouse must be a volume exposed mainly on the fronts from south-east to south-west, with the function of solar collection, (to be proven through a specific technical report), not heated, with external surface, referred to the walls, at least 70% glazed.

With regard to tax relief, this type of intervention always benefits from those relating to the renovation, and only in some cases of those relating to energy redevelopment, (in particular when it is included in the context of a general energy redevelopment of the entire building), therefore falling in any case within the range of 50% or 65% of deductibility.
